iOS 12.1.1 just has released by Apple which has been in beta for a while, This post includes a good news for those who are running iOS 12.1 or lower if you want to jailbreak. Currently, iOS 12.1.1 and iOS 12.1 are the versions currently signed together. This means that iOS 12.1 may not be signed for a long time. If you’re running iOS 12.1 do not update to iOS 12.1.1 (link to it) especially if you are curious about the jailbreaking.
According to Pwn20wnd, you should not update to iOS 12.1.1. If you head over to security content of iOS 12.1.1 release, this is where the good news comes for you if you’re fascinating for a jailbreak.
Disk Image Vulnerability
In security content, there you’ll see two important vulnerabilities one is Disk Image which is by Pangu team which is former jailbreak developer team.
and the other is Kernel vulnerability(there are many kernel important vulnerabilities but the last one is the most). This is by Lan Beer of Google Project ZERO.
Lan Beer always releases his vulnerabilities related to the kernel when they are patched. Because same happened with iOS 11.3.1, iOS 11.4b3, iOS 11.1.2, iOS 10 and so on. He does release the vulnerabilities when he can.
So this one is patched now which means that he is able to release it if he wants to which lead to this. We can use this in a jailbreak. If we guess here, this vulnerability may give us the task for PAD0 or the kernel task. Which is absolutely a very powerful vulnerability.
This is not a good idea to update to iOS 12.1.1 release at this point. I suggest you stay on iOS 12.1 or iOS 12.0.1 of you are already there. But if you are already on iOS 11.4.1 or iOS 11.4, DO NOT UPDATE FROM THAT THIS iOS Update. It is always a bad idea to update from a lower version. Because they are more likely to get a jailbreak sooner.
This is, of course, a very good news for jailbreak developer and users. Because Lan Beer exploits are usually very powerful and most of the times they do give the kernel task port. Do not update guys if you want a jailbreak as iOS 12.1.1 release does fix a lot of things which are available in iOS 12.1 and lower.
