According to the figures of a market research company, Facebook advertisement revenue growth has been slowed down in 2nd and 3rd quarter of the year 2018 in the US, but still maintains a double-digit growth in ads revenue in the United States.
Forbes reported citing data from Standard Media Index (SMI) that in the 3rd quarter of 2018 Facebook Advertisement revenue growth rate was 16% as compared to 30% in the 2nd quarter and 35% in 1st quarter of the year 2018. Facebook having over 2 billion monthly active users has been under heavy criticism in 2018 for blunders regarding users privacy and not removing misleading content from its platform.
SMI’s CEO James Fennessy gave a statement that
Facebook Advertisement Revenue growth from national marketers is slowing, indicating that major brands are concerned with recent events there and are focusing on brand-safe environments.
Forbes reported that Facebook will generate an estimated revenue of $23 billion from the US in 2018 and $54.4 billion worldwide which is an increase of 36.3% from 2017, According to an estimate by a market research company eMarketer
